This ranking is limited to the eight models from the four luxury brands that Groupe Beaucage sells new (Genesis, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and INFINITI), the ones our advisors know and our service shops maintain. For each: what sets it apart, the warranty that may remain and what to check before you sign.

Our 20-second answer

  4. 4.Mercedes-Benz CLA — Mercedes-Benz's compact
  5. 5.Volvo S90 — comfort, and the plug-in hybrid option
  6. 6.Genesis G80 — the full-size sedan, updated for 2025

  8. 8.Genesis G90 — the flagship

How this list was built

The selection includes only sedans from the brands our network sells new; the dealerships for these four brands are in Sherbrooke. It is organized by positioning, from entry level to flagship, according to each model's place in its brand's lineup: it is not a quality ranking between brands. The vehicles currently available appear under each model, pulled directly from our inventory.

What is not on it, and why: the Tesla Model 3, which we cover with electric vehicles; the large four-door hatchback or performance coupes (BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, Audi RS 5, Mercedes-AMG GT 53); and the wagons, such as the Volvo V60 Cross Country. The CLA, which Mercedes-Benz presents as a coupe, remains a four-door sedan with a separate trunk: it is therefore included.

1. INFINITI Q50 — the entry point

The Q50 is the entry level of this ranking. It is no longer in production: INFINITI dropped it from its lineup after eleven model years, and no new model year will follow the last ones built. Available examples are therefore several years old, often among the most affordable luxury sedans. The network's INFINITI dealership is INFINITI de Sherbrooke.

For a high-mileage Q50, assess the individual car based on its records: service record, condition of the brakes and tires, underbody inspection. Our guide to reading a CARFAX report helps spot what deserves a question.

On a Q50 several years old, INFINITI's basic warranty (4 years or 100,000 km) has often expired; the powertrain warranty (6 years or 110,000 km) can last longer. Check the in-service date and the mileage, then insist on the service record.

2. Genesis G70 — the sporty Genesis

The G70 comes with three engines depending on the year: the 2.0 turbo, the 3.3 turbo V6 and the 2.5 turbo of recent trims. Read the listing before comparing two prices: two G70s from the same model year can have very different engines and characters. The network's Genesis dealership is Genesis Estrie, in Sherbrooke.

Warranty coverage is what matters when buying used. Genesis Canada advertises a 5-year or 100,000 km comprehensive limited warranty and the same duration on the powertrain (Genesis Canada warranty page, accessed October 4, 2026). On a two- or three-year-old G70, part of that protection may remain: verify the warranty start date using the VIN and ask for written confirmation of the coverage that transfers to you. Our used Genesis guide covers the brand in detail; here, remember the choice of engines and the warranty.

Between two G70s, compare the official fuel consumption ratings of the exact trims: displacement alone is not enough to decide.

3. Mercedes-Benz C-Class — Mercedes-Benz's mid-size sedan

On the used market, the C-Class is found mostly as the C 300 4MATIC, with a four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive; the C 43 AMG is its sporty variant. The 2022 and later model years belong to the current generation, launched in 2021: the price gap with an older C-Class notably buys an entirely redesigned cabin and screens. The network's Mercedes-Benz dealership is Mercedes-Benz de Sherbrooke.

Some listings are labelled "Certified Pre-Owned". If it is Mercedes-Benz Canada's certification, it covers a vehicle under 6 years old with under 120,000 km, inspected against a 169-point checklist, and adds 24 months of limited warranty, up to a cumulative 120,000 km, once the 4-year or 80,000 km warranty has expired (Mercedes-Benz Canada CPO program, accessed October 4, 2026). Ask for written confirmation of which warranty applies.

4. Mercedes-Benz CLA — Mercedes-Benz's compact

A CLA 250 can put you in a newer model year than a C-Class at a comparable price. More compact, it relies on a sloping roofline and a turbocharged four-cylinder. The CLA 45 AMG has a very different character, for buyers who want a very fast small sedan.

On a one- or two-year-old CLA, the original 4-year or 80,000 km warranty may still cover a good part of the road ahead: the in-service date will tell, and that is the argument to weigh against an older C-Class at the same price.

5. Volvo S90 — comfort, and the plug-in option

The S90 is a large sedan with hushed comfort, also offered as a plug-in hybrid, the S90 Recharge. The other trims have a 2.0 L four-cylinder gasoline engine. The network's Volvo dealership is Volvo de Sherbrooke.

Whether the Recharge suits you depends on your driving routine. According to the Natural Resources Canada dataset on plug-in hybrids (updated 2026-09-29, accessed October 4, 2026), the 2024 S90 T8 AWD Recharge has an official electric range of 61 km and uses 8.1 L/100 km in gasoline mode, combined cycle. Example: a daily 40 km round trip, charged every night at home, could be done largely on electricity in mild weather. In winter, electric range drops, as our article on the winter range of an electric vehicle explains. If you can charge at home and your trips are short, it is one of the sedans in this ranking that would visit the gas station the least.

6. Genesis G80 — the full-size sedan

The G80 is Genesis's large sedan, roomier and more hushed than the G70. On a recent G80, check the in-service date to establish the remaining warranty. The network's Genesis dealership is Genesis Estrie, in Sherbrooke.

Between a 2024 or older G80 and a 2025 or newer one, there is the update unveiled in December 2023: micro-lens headlights and a large panoramic screen. Check the model year and the equipment on the listing. On a nearly new example, the in-service date counts as much as the odometer: the 5-year or 100,000 km warranty runs from that date and ends at whichever limit comes first.

7. Mercedes-Benz E-Class — Mercedes-Benz's executive sedan

The current generation of the E-Class is offered as the E 350 with a four-cylinder engine and the E 450 with a six-cylinder, both mild hybrids, as well as the Mercedes-AMG E 53 plug-in hybrid. Compare the in-service date and the remaining warranty with the price of a new E-Class. The network's Mercedes-Benz dealership is Mercedes-Benz de Sherbrooke.

From the front, looks alone cannot reliably identify the engine: the trunk badge and the listing tell you whether it is an E 350 or an E 450. Check it before comparing two prices.

8. Genesis G90 — the flagship

The G90 is Genesis's flagship, at the top of its lineup. On the test drive, take a seat in the back: that is where the G90 sets itself apart from a G80. The network's Genesis dealership is Genesis Estrie, in Sherbrooke.

Before comparing with the price of a new G90, ask what remains of the Genesis warranty for that serial number.

How to choose based on your budget

The smallest budget. A Q50, a G70 or a C-Class several years old, often with high mileage. At this stage, you are buying a service history as much as a car, and our pre-purchase inspection checklist is there to verify it.

The mid-range budget. This price range offers the widest choice: a G70 a few years old, a current-generation C-Class, a recent CLA. The best approach is to compare remaining warranty coverage rather than horsepower: a one-year-old CLA and a five-year-old C-Class do not have the same amount of warranty coverage remaining.

The high end. S90, G80, E-Class, G90 and the newest G70s: often recent, low-mileage examples. Compare their price with that of an equivalent new model, freight and PDI included, as we explain in our article on demonstrator vehicles.

Have a vehicle to trade in?

Have it appraised before you compare. According to Revenu Québec, when a private individual not registered for the GST and QST trades in a vehicle at a registered dealer, the trade-in value reduces the amount on which the GST and QST are calculated.

Three checks before you sign

The remaining warranty, in writing

Genesis: 5 years or 100,000 km. Mercedes-Benz: 4 years or 80,000 km on new vehicles; the Mercedes-Benz certification and the extended warranty sold by the manufacturer are two separate protections, to be verified on the specific vehicle. INFINITI: 4 years or 100,000 km basic and 6 years or 110,000 km on the powertrain. In every case, the in-service date counts as much as the mileage. Our guide to the legal warranty on a used vehicle explains what is added on top of the manufacturer's.

Recalls, with the serial number

The Transport Canada recalls database can be searched by make, model and year. Then ask for proof that the recalls affecting that specific vehicle have been completed.

The real total cost

Compare the ratings of the exact trims: displacement alone is not enough. Before you sign, look up each trim's official rating in the Natural Resources Canada fuel consumption ratings. Add the taxes, detailed in our article on taxes on a used vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

Are the sedans shown in this article up to date?

Yes. The vehicles shown under each model come directly from our inventory and change as units arrive and sell. Today's price and mileage are on each vehicle's listing.

Is a nearly new luxury sedan considered new?

No: on our listings, these examples are presented as used vehicles. Ask for the in-service date, which sets the start of the manufacturer's warranty, and what remains of it before comparing with the price of a new vehicle.

Why are there so few recent INFINITI Q50s?

The Q50 is no longer in production: INFINITI dropped it from its lineup, and no new model year will follow the last ones built. The available examples are therefore several years old, which makes the service record all the more important.
